Post-Medicine

The medicine rotation is over!! It feels wonderfully light to have both surgery and medicine under the books. Recapping the past few months, the time spent in the hospitals were irreplaceable. I was right, I was wrong, I crapped in my pants, saw people without their pants. Excuse the cheese, but it was an honor for being able to participate in the care of my patients. Some days were exercised routine punctuated by anxiety from presentations, assessment/plans, and just dealing with a patient. More days were enlivened by my teammates (all fantastic), classmates, and that world war II veteran going on and on about baseball.

We celebrated our last day with our last team together at M&M grill. This restaurant was just across the street serving up homemade Mediterranean comfort food. It was the panacea to our fatigue. A pre-game of non-alcoholic champagne didn't hurt either.

After the shelf, I did my best hosting a party at Proof Bar & Patio. Unfortunately, the weather gods reigned in 4+ hours of constant rain. Thank you to all those who came out! It was a testament to our bond and strength. I've never been a class president, let alone any type of president, but the support and encouragement couldn't have made me more proud of the individuals who comprise the BCM class of 2015 (and then some!).
