Nike says, just do it.

A story of Ganesh:

The God and Goddess, Shiva and Parvati, received a gift of all wisdom and knowledge to give to one of their sons, on the condition that it cannot be split. The God and Goddess decided to test their children so they could be fair. They asked both their sons, Skanda and Ganesh, to encircle the universe three times and whoever wins shall win the prize.

Skanda immediately rode out on his peacock to encircle the universe, swift as wind and unrelenting like fire. Meanwhile Ganesh sat there calmly until Skanda finished his second lap. At that point, Ganesh simply rode on his mouse and took three rounds of his parents knowing that the two constitute his entire universe.

Happy with his love and devotion, Shiva and Parvati gave the prize to the young Ganesh, who is known as the god of knowledge and wisdom.

Sometimes when the task calls for it, you can do it all. You can endeavor great ordeals to move mountains and accomplish an impressive feat. By going the extra mile, each step is an award to be celebrated. Yes, you can do it all with your current abilities...and sometimes you don't have to do any of it. You already have it all. Not losing sight of the people who matter, you can take step back. Because what's really important is already in your hands.

I've been reminding myself of this story lately. Sometimes I get caught up in the ambition to do, and there are times where I cannot see the essence of the venture any longer. If the lack of writing entries are any indications, I think I've been doing a bit too much of doing.
