Omg shoes

Do you know why girls swoon over shoes more than they do over guys? It's because as we age, our shoe size remains pretty constant while we overgrow (for the most part) our pants and shirts. But shoes, shoes on the other hand are something you can slip on and feel timeless in. I look for quality, comfort, and a classic shape for my shoes. And I do not like to pay more than $50 per pair. That means finding them at discount prices take time and some serendipity.

Last week I was introduced to smartbargains.com. They have a wide range of designer clothing/access and home furnishings. They recently had a 3 pairs for $99 deal, and someone just had to give in. I ended up returning one pair, but these babies still turned out to be $33/pair.

Miss Sixty Taylor leather pumps, leather upper and sole
Retail: $145

Jessica Simpson "Laura" leather sandals, leather upper, manmade sole
Retail: $89

Shipping was fast, and so far the deals for other departments for smartbargains have been fairly good. Their prices with their promotions are comparable to Ross and TJMaxx (<--looove), sometimes even cheaper. I have seen BCBG dresses for $50, which beat even outlet prices, and $100 Betsey Johnson dresses. If you are a Google shopper, you get free shipping site-wide.

I also had great luck with Ann Taylor shoes two months ago. I have been reading how great the Ann Taylor pumps are from many bloggers, but I became disheartened when I tried them on in store and there was massive toe cleavage. Oddly, the AT factory store shoes fit like a charm! They had an extra 40% off store promotion, so these came out to be $35/pair (retails $115/pair)

So that's my pitch. Definitely check out smart bargains (I am terribly sorry for sounding like a vendor).
